Stakeholder Meeting Information

Ashtabula Local Food Council is convening a Food Hub Stakeholder meeting!

Since the inception of Ashtabula Local Food Council, we have made a series of small steps with the ultimate goal of forming a food hub in Ashtabula County.  The next step on the path to growing the food hub is to hold our stakeholder meeting.

Who’s a stakeholder?

Any grower or food artisan interested in selling their product to the food hub, including produce, meat, eggs, dairy, herbs, honey, maple syrup and value-added food products.

Any buyer interested in wholesale quantities, such as schools, hospitals, chefs and restaurant owners, and food retailers.

Any consumer interested in supporting local growers.

Any public official interested in creating a strong local food economy.

What are we going to cover in the meeting?
We have an opportunity to begin work on the food hub this growing season.  We’ll discuss our proposed timeline for the food hub, look at potential models of growth, and determine the needs of those interested in buying OR selling local foods in larger quantities.
